Delhi is a city of layered empires — Mughal, British and modern India all coexist within a few kilometres of each other. This guided walk brings you deep into the soul of the capital: from the narrow spice alleys of Chandni Chowk to the grand colonial boulevards of Lutyens' Delhi. A journey through 800 years of history, told by a local who has lived it. Whether it's your first time in India or your tenth, Delhi always has something new to reveal.

Jama Masjid & Chandni Chowk
We begin at India's largest mosque — the magnificent Jama Masjid, built by Shah Jahan in 1656. Then plunge into the labyrinthine lanes of Chandni Chowk: the spice market (Khari Baoli), silver bazaar, Paranthe Wali Gali and the chaos of the cloth merchants. A street breakfast is included — parathas with achaar and chai at a 100-year-old institution.
Red Fort (Lal Qila)
The crown jewel of Mughal Delhi — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide walks you through the Lahori Gate, Naqqar Khana, the Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) and the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience) where the legendary Peacock Throne once stood. Stories of Mughal emperors, courtly intrigues and the 1857 uprising come alive here.
Humayun's Tomb
Built in 1570, this is the garden tomb that directly inspired the design of the Taj Mahal. The first example of Mughal garden-tomb architecture in India. Your guide explains the symmetry of the Persian charbagh garden layout and points out architectural details that echo through centuries of Mughal building.
Qutub Minar
The world's tallest brick minaret at 72.5 metres, built in 1193 — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The surrounding Qutb complex includes the Iron Pillar of Delhi (1,600 years old and still rust-free), the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque and several sultanate-era tombs.
India Gate & Lutyens' Delhi
Drive through the wide, tree-lined avenues of British-era New Delhi. India Gate (the national war memorial), Kartavya Path (formerly Rajpath), Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Parliament building. A complete contrast to Old Delhi — planned, grand and colonial. Excellent photography opportunities throughout.
